Bio and Links
Bio Photo Sabine County Texas cemeteries were indexed by me and a couple of helpers in 2000-2002. There are 148 identified cemeteries/burial places with 25 of these being almost lost with only faint signs of burial, to being completely lost with only a general knowledge of where the cemetery was located. I personally walked and indexed more than 135 of these. Many thanks to others that are interested in Sabine Co., TX, because of them, much progress has been made in making these memorials available to others. I am adding pictures of the markers I have taken, corrections and links to family members.

I have many of the Sabine County cemeteries completely photographed and hope to someday complete all of them. I have recently completed photographing Hemphill City, Munnerlyn, Low's Chapel and Spring Hill Cemeteries. Now I am trying to identify unmarked graves and get duplicates and cremated memorials moved out of the cemeteries. I have begun photographing Gravel Hill.

I no longer live in Sabine County, but I have lots of Sabine County family information. I am continually researching Sabine County families and linking families. I would be honored to take care of any Sabine County memorial that you would like to transfer to me.

I have walked where my ancestors walked, laughed where my ancestors laughed, and cried where my ancestors cried.

Thank you for the link....Still cant figure out how she was on a census in 1900 ( I'm positive its her) if she died in 1891 unless the stone was erected sometime later. Thanks again.

RE: S. Amanda Currie Cooper
Did You get my Email?
That is her, I'm sure.
In my email, I said that Ididn't know about the "S"
in Amanda's name; but I had fogotten abouthe S.A. Cooper on the 1880 Census. I have no Idea what it could mean.

Thank you very much for finding Amand in the 1920 and1930 Census and the Cemetery where sheis burried. That was a Godsend.

RE: S. Amanda Currie Cooper
No, I have never found any more on Amanda Currie Cooper: She was b. abt 1851in Monroe Co., AL., to
Daniel Mathew Currie and Elizabeth Ann Lofftin: she
married Daniel Cooper unk. propbaly in Vernon Parish, LA., they had two daghters:
Ida Jane Cooper b. 1872
Alice R. Cooper b. 1875: this is my mother's mother. Daniel Cooper died befor 1880 in Vernon Parish, LA., Amanda and the girls was in her parents home on the 1880 Census of Vernon Parish, LA.
Amanda may have remarried?

Thanks for the inquiry:

Hi there-
The memorial you manage for Susan Alzada Reed. I am trying to locate her mother and step-fathers graves. Their names were Kenyan and Beatrice "Beady" Merritt. I've seen other variations of Kenyan's name to include Kinion and Kineon etc.

Just seeing if you might know of anything.

Beady would be my ggg grandmother.
