|Rita Wehunt-Black||Isaac Clay|
I have left some documentation on the memorial pages for Isaac Clay and for his father, Nicholas Clay.
I feel that there is much more to be found in the Pennsylvania records and Lincoln County, NC records. I knew very little about this family until recently, so I don't consider myself a Clay researcher, but find it is an interesting family, with its connections to my Seagles, Seabolts, and other families at Daniel's Church and Trinity Church. I am going to go through the existing church records and see if there is a confirmation record for Isaac, or if I can find an old survey of the Daniel's Cemetery. I feel there was a tombstone at some point, and this is where Philip Leonard and others may have gotten some of the dates. Philip Leonard, sadly, died a few years. He was a wonderful researcher, and is missed.
Good luck with your future research and I will inform you if I find out more concerning this family.

I posted a photo of your William Strueve's Headstone to the Find A Grave site. I was not able to identify a monument for Catherine.
Thanks for catching that error. I need to buy eyeglasses. Correction made.

Hi Mary, you are very welcome. I think that was all the Ryans that are buried at the Fellowship Cemetery. I looked at all the markers.

Mary, I have a new find-a-grave membership, though I have used the site for some time. I came across your name regarding the Ryans that are buried at the Ryan-Crawford Cemetery in Morgan County, Alabama. I would like to get information regarding the history of the Ryans there, if you don't mind sharing. I have recently retired and want to get back into working on my genealogy. I am descended from Elizabeth Ryan that married Sherrill Smith. Thanks, Anita
|JJH||RE: Thank you|
You're welcome for the photos. There are 13 people buried in this plot that are all inter-related in some way. I've been processing them today but will have to finish the rest up tomorrow.

|lone tree||Ada Oden FAG # 65886281|
Could you recheck yout information on Ada Oden? As you have her parents as John A. Smith and Lucraetie Elizabeth Drinkard Oden Smith, I find it "does not add up" in that William Albert Oden married Lucraetie on November 22, 1849 in Morgan County, Alabama and died February 6, 1860.
Lucraetie married James A. Smith on August 11, 1861 in Morgan County, Alabama and John Rector Smith was born on August 10, 1863.
Ada Oden was born in 1887, making Lucraetie about 67, according to the date on her tombstone, which is well past her childbearing age. Also, the 1900 Census list Lucraetie as age 70, while Ada would only be about 3 years of age.
James A. and Lucraetie Elizabeth are my great-great grandparents. While my mother talked about her grandfather, John Rector, she never said anything about an Ada
Thank you for your time and effort in this matter
Thank you so much for the transfer!
