Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy genealogy with my main lines being Merritt & Cagle and all associated names that go with them. Merritt is out of Cannon County/Dekalb County, Tennessee and Cagle is out of McNairy County, Tennessee.

I think Find A Grave is an excellent site and a fantastic idea. I have found many graves that I have needed on the site and I hope others find the ones I have posted useful.

I love nature and have 12 cats, two koi ponds, feed many mallard ducks, birds, squirrels and whatever else is hungry.

RE: Mary Caroline Harris McGhee
I have Mary Caroline “Polly” Harris (1788-1868) married to Zera McGhee (1781-1836). Zera and Polly are my 3x great-grandparents.
Mary (Polly) is the daughter of Peter (1751-1832) and Honour Harris (1753-1835).
Polly had a brother Nehemiah Harris (1784-1825), whom she and Zera named their first child after. He was Nehemiah Harris McGhee (1805-1859).
She also had a brother and a son both named Samuel
a sister and a daughter both named Sarah
a brother and a son both named John
a brother William and one son William B., and another Calvin William (my 2x great-grandfather)

In Peter Harris’ will he did not mention any of his daughters. He asked that his possessions be sold and the proceeds be divided among his children. The list of what was sold and to whom, showed Zera purchased a few items.

I hope this helps.

RE: Sarah A. Hutchins Lance #160321613
Yes!

Joseph's brother William H. had children Hanah E, Sarah A (my paternal ggrandmother married to Samuel C. Tittle), Edward P, Julian S, and John M.

Sarah A. Lance Tittle is buried in the Tittle Cemetery, Warren Co., TN. There are but 5 graves.

I downloaded a picture of William H. in 1860 when he had moved to Baxter Co., Ark. In my usual fashion, I don't know where I saved it.

RE: 127017743/ 108879157 Foster F Rigsby
Below is the reply I received from the other Foster Rigsby Find A Grave page in response to my inquiry as to her documentation.
Just FYI:
"RE: 127017743/ 108879157 Foster F Rigsby
The transcription for Young Bend Cemetery was taken from the book, "DeKalb County Cemeteries" copyright 1989, by Doris Garrison Gilbert. Foster is buried next to wife, Catherine and son Isaac. I pulled the death certificates for Foster and Isaac and the certificates do list Mt. View for burials.....BUT you will note that someone has walked Young Bend Cemetery and has taken a picture of Catherine's tombstone. I believe this will suffice as evidence that all three are actually interred at Young Bend. According to the above book the cemetery transcription was first done in 1959 with an update in 1986. Again....this means at least twice the Foster family was transcribed as being in Young Bend Cemetery. I think the death certificates are not accurate.

Thank you for checking accuracy.
