I enjoy genealogy with my main lines being Merritt & Cagle and all associated names that go with them. Merritt is out of Cannon County/Dekalb County, Tennessee and Cagle is out of McNairy County, Tennessee.|
I think Find A Grave is an excellent site and a fantastic idea. I have found many graves that I have needed on the site and I hope others find the ones I have posted useful.
I love nature and have 12 cats, two koi ponds, feed many mallard ducks, birds, squirrels and whatever else is hungry.

|Lori Blassingame||Thomas Newton Boyd|
Thanks. There is a note in the "marker transcription" that he was probably born around 1864. Good luck researching. How are you related to the Boyd's, if you don't mind me asking?
I am researching George Washington Parham that married
Alsy Webb. Will write more if you get this. Liz

You are welcome. It was easy to find and photograph as well.

It was very easy to locate and photograph. I'm glad to do it

Through my research, everything points to Peter and Honour Harris as parents of Mary Caroline (Polly). Polly is my 3rd great-grandmother. I have not run across Evan Harris and Rachel Stewart as parents. If you have any proof that they were her parents, please let me know and I'll make the correction.
|Denys Breysse||Genealogy in Bicknell|
I am a French genealogist and I am working on the American life of some French immigrants from the beginning of XXth century.
I was interested by François Regis JAUSSAUD whose son married a girl named Claudia.
I have discovered that this Clauda was Claudia CHAMBON, and that his father was Isidore Arsene, who is buried at Bicknell. You have documented his grave on the « Find a grave website ».
I however can tell you that the name you have written regarding his parents are probably wrong (August CHAMBON and Rosalie SAY are the parents of Anne CHAMBON, another immigrant), as visible on his marriage record (please send me your e-mail address at [ denys.breysse (@) orange.fr ] and I will send it to you). He married in 1898 at Besseges, a mining city in Gard, South of France, and his parents were Claude CHAMBON and Virginie FAURE. I can also send you the birth record of his daughter Claude/Claudia, in the same city.
Of course I am very much interested in any info you could provide me on them, or the JAUSSAUD family, who also lived in Bicknell at the same time.
Last, I can perhaps help you if you have some roots in the same region, since our public archives are, for most of them, public and free online.

I looked in Ancestry trying to find where the father died even, and did not come up with any solid data. There is one "Combs Cemetery" that has only one burial listed. I do not put too much stock in it. The Harlingen-Combs Cemetery I know is real, I have been there. I live in South Texas but am restricted in my motion now. Sorry, I can not find any concrete evidence as to where the father may be buried.
