Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy genealogy with my main lines being Merritt & Cagle and all associated names that go with them. Merritt is out of Cannon County/Dekalb County, Tennessee and Cagle is out of McNairy County, Tennessee.

I think Find A Grave is an excellent site and a fantastic idea. I have found many graves that I have needed on the site and I hope others find the ones I have posted useful.

I love nature and have 12 cats, two koi ponds, feed many mallard ducks, birds, squirrels and whatever else is hungry.

Normally death records are made out in a women's married name not her maiden name

Eliza Emma Merritt 93832408
I don't think this is the wife of John McCabe and mother of Nancy & Jeff Davis McCabe. The 1900 Census was taken in June 1900. Elizabeth McCabe mother of John was living in his household, two months after Eliza's death. Normally death certificates are made out in a woman's maiden name. This one was for Eliza Emma Merritt not McCabe. Neither of the children's deaths certificates list a mother or a father. Please remove connections or send some kind of proof.

RE: Elijah Malachi Anderson
Elijah Malachi Anderson married Eliza Hamblin 17 Oct 1869 in Livingston County, Missouri. Eliza is listed in the 1880 Census.

In 1870 Minnie May Anderson, daughter of Julia Ann Blann, was living with her maternal grandparents in Lower Lake, Lake County, California. Minnie May was born 17 Aug 1867 and most likely Julia Ann died in childbirth.

James McCracken line
Thank you for posting details on the McCracken family.
I am of the continuing line of James McCracken (ca 1770 NC-1859 GA) and his first wife via their son David (1795 GA -aft 1880 AL). Happy to exchange info with others interested in his line or that of his parents, David McCracken (ca 1750 - 1812 Lincoln Co TN) and Elizabeth (Wilson) McCracken (ca 1750NC - 1821 Lincoln Co TN) and other children of this line.
Very interested in adding to the documented history of this family. Thank you for your time - Cole Owen,

Merritt Connection
I am Jack Merritt Jr.'s only daughter, b. 1925 d. 1967. I was wondering what your connection was and if you had any info on him. He died from Hodgkin's Disease when I was only 6 and my mom had a very hard time talking about him so I know just bits and pieces. She passed in 2008, very suddenly, and I'm left with very little to tell my daughter and my grandchildren. Thanks in advance for anything you might have.

RE: Earl B. Manes
It was my pleasure. I read about his death on a spreadsheet for Cottage Hill Cemetary. Such a tragedy for a little boy.
