I love the history in cemeteries; I have literally thousands of photos of beautiful and interesting monuments, just waiting for the time to sort through and upload them.

I'm also researching my own and several friend's family histories, so I have additional info on some of the memorials I've created - if questions or you are related :-) feel free to email me.

Please let me know via the 'edit' options if you see any errors, or want info updated/links added, etc.

The vast majority of headstone pictures I post on Find-A-Grave were taken by me and may be used freely (personal use, not commercial). No need to ask; I took them for you.

Note: If I am helping someone and uploading photos on their behalf, their name will be noted as the photographer.

I changed the birth year to 1860. We are supposed to put what is on the stone, even if it is incorrect, in order to prevent accidental duplicates. However, when it is off by quite a bit, I know how maddening that can be. I have corrected my own great grandfathers, because if I left it as it was, he would have been linked to his mother and it would look like he was born 16 months after she died...

RE: Gibbs in Lebanon Presybterian Cemetery, West Mifflin
I think I have a picture of that Gibbs marker your referring to (not William's). I'll post it on here later today after I get off work.

There is a section of ground where there is a "Gibbs" marker, along with a few square corner markers seemingly marking off a plot with "G"'s on them. That probably is the marker they are referring to.

I have some of the burial records too from Lebanon for this Gibbs family in Lebanon, that I can e-mail.

I can tell you that Israel's wife Charlotte is also buried in Lebanon, and so is there 2nd son, Abram Hays Gibbs (no stones today for either). But I'm not 100% confident that Charles is necessarily in Lebanon, which I can explain in the e-mail offline based on my research/documents I've uncovered.

Do you by chance have a picture of the marker for Charles Nickolson Gibbs? Or know what section he is buried in? Were you able to find any records of his burial at Lebanon? Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

RE: Becker's in St Mary Cemetery
Thank You so much for your kind offer. If I find any of my relatives I'll be sure to let you know.

I am not related 98% of the memorials I have posted. I went to Allegheny Cemetery to photograph my 2nd greatparents headstone and fell in love with the cemetery. As I was photographing and posting I discovered someone else was posting the same memorials a few days ahead of me. So I quit posting and went to St. Mary's cemetery.
No one seems to be working in that cemetery so I started photographing it section by section. I hope to be done by fall. I am so optimistic!

Good Luck in your family search.

Becker's in St Mary Cemetery
You have posted Elmer Becker and I was at the cemetery today and Eugenia is also listed on his stone. Eugenia's Find A Grave # 131711970. If you are related I would be happy to transfer her. If not, I will take good care of her.

I also found Joseph, Stella and Herman Becker in the same section. If you know who they are again, I would be happy to transfer them.

Let me know,
Zim ~ aka Janet
