Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA; living just over the Butler County line now.|
I love the history in cemeteries; I have literally thousands of photos of beautiful and interesting monuments, just waiting for the time to sort through and upload them.
I'm also researching my own and several friend's family histories, so I have additional info on some of the memorials I've created - if questions or you are related :-) feel free to email me.
Please let me know via the 'edit' options if you see any errors, or want info updated/links added, etc.
The vast majority of headstone pictures I post on Find-A-Grave were taken by me and may be used freely (personal use, not commercial). No need to ask; I took them for you.
Note: If I am helping someone and uploading photos on their behalf, their name will be noted as the photographer.

Thank you Anne. I have made some assumptions for this Wyland family. I am looking for James Peter Wyland and his wife Magdalena King Wyland. I do see them in the Union Dale Cemetery with connections. In trying to push them back I was hitting a dead end so I followed a known family business and found John Wyland and his wife Elizabeth Smith Wyland, Hiram J's parents. I thought if I found them together or in the same general area of the cemetery it would help validate my research or at least give me more information and a trail. Hiram's older brother John L Wyland ( the father might also be John L)and his wife Annie Otterson and most of their large family are in Mt Royal Cemetery. Peter and the 1st John lived together for a time worked together raised their families in close proximity and named their children after each other. I thought I could break through the wall by finding where they were all buried. They were a prolific family! Are James Peter Wyland and Magdalena King Wyland buried near Hiram's family? Thank you for all of your help! Beverly Wyland

Hi Ann, my name is Beverly Wyland. I'm looking for Wyland or Wiland in Union Dale Cemetery on Brighton Road in Pgh. I saw a Photo you took for an Annie E Wyland #141568351 birth and death say unknown. Your photo shows an old stone. Do you have a record of a Section or any location? thanks for your help!

I saw your name as the person who surveyed Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown. I am a church historian and am trying to find a photo of Reverend John Nelson Bennett. I have not haf any success and was curious if you had a photo of his headstone at Lake Park Cemetery? I would like to have Reverend Bennett represented in some way in the history that I am writing. If i can't find a personal photo, a photo ofhis headstone will suffice. If you don't have a photo, could you give me some idea of how to find his grave so I can photograph it? Thanks
Hello there. Thank you for letting me know. Did you notice what her first name was transcribed as? Shameful isn't it? lol
I missed the place of death information, thanks for letting me know this. I will make the changes to the memorial after I send this message. I've also sent an edit request on Ancestry as well for them to either correct the information or to at least post it correctly with the changes or at least it will show up beneath what is already there, lol.
Appreciate all that you do and thank you for your kindness.

Thanks for honoring my great grandfathers family. For your information, Mary was born in 1885. Pauline was the youngest, born in 1901. There is another sister, my grandmother, Helen Wolf born 1892 and died 1966 on her birthday. She is buried with her husband in Calvary Cemetery in Greenfield. If my memory is correct, there was another brother that died around 1918 during the flu epidemic. I think his name was Alex and he should be buried with the rest of the family. Zhave you come across his grave?
Again, thanks for listing my family.
