AUGUST MAHNKE

Death on Thurs. morning last week of August Mahnke of Manitowoc. The
deceased was born in Kittendorf, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and came to
America in 1853, settling in Manitowoc where he has lived ever since.
For many years he was employed here as fruit buyer for the Schuette
Bros. He was twice married, both wives predeceasing him, and he
leaves 6 grown sons. He reached the age of 71 yrs. and was
buried Sun. afternoon in the city cemetery.
