Dr. Donald Patrick Babbitt was born in Wis. & died in Hartford, Washington Co., Wis. He was son of J. Sylvester & Loretta A. Babbitt. He was a 1942 graduate of the Univ.of Wisconsin-River Falls & later earned his medical degree at Marquette University. He was a captain in US Army during WWII. From 1947-1949 he was Chief of Radiology at 250th Army Hospital in Germany. He later worked at Madigan General Hospital in Washington, Milwaukee Children's Hospital, & Milwaukee Hospital. He became a professor at Medical College of Wisconsin. He had more than 70 works published and was listed in Who's Who in the Midwest & Who's Who In The World. He was the world's leading expert on diseases of the pancreas & traveled around the world to present information on the disease. Obituary: University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
