Funeral services were held October 5, at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church Peshtigo for Robert K. Sharpe, 45 a former resident of Peshtigo. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post of Peshtigo.

He died October 2, 1971 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on Sept. 28. Born June 17, 1926 in Marinette, WI, he was the son of Mrs. Amanda Sharpe and the late Ben Sharpe of Peshtigo.

He was a graduate of Peshtigo High School class of 1944. Serving in the Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict, he saw duty for seven years through the South Pacific. He served as a chaplain's assistant while in the Navy and at the time of his discharge had attained the rank of First Class Petty Officer.

He was a barber for 10 years each in Rhode Island and Waukesha. While in Waukesha, he served as 5th Ward Alderman for four years. For the past 5 years, he barbered in the Milwaukee and Hales Corners area.

He married the former Virginia Wendtlandt in June 12, 1970 in East St. Louis, Mo.

Survivors are his wife Virginia;
his mother, Mrs. Amanda Sharpe;
one daughter, Mrs. Marcie (Allyn) Beaudette of Detroit, Michigan;
three sons: Steven, who is in the U.S. Marines in Vista, California and Randy and Jon of Oconomowoc, Wis.,
one stepson, Douglas at home;
two sisters: Mrs. Jay (Evelyn)Buckner of Janesville and Mrs. Kurt (Carol) Eigner of Menominee Falls;
two brothers: Rellis and Melvin of Peshtigo
and one grandchild.
