Steven Robert Sharpe, 74, of Waterford, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Steve was born in Marinette, Wisconsin. He graduated from Waukesha High School (class of '66), where he met the love of his life, Linda, when they were young teens. He got his Architecture degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was a proud U.S. Veteran, serving in the Marine Corp for 8 years.

Steve lived his life to the fullest. Flying airplanes was his favorite pastime (both as a pilot in his Cessna Skylane and the model airplanes he built). He loved fishing and being outdoors. An accomplished architect, he was once mentored by Mr. Carol Mudge, from whom he learned how to be a mentor to countless others. He appreciated art, and loved to learn new skills. He enjoyed stained glass, jewelry making, glass blowing, and pottery. Music was important to him- as a young man in a band, playing guitars with his brothers, or listening to music in his truck – and he never missed an opportunity to get on stage and sing for his adoring wife, whose LOVE IS…never-ending.

Steve was always there for his family – he had a way of showing up when you didn't even know you needed him; but most of all, on this harvest moon, he will be remembered for being selfless, generous, hard-working, and for treating everyone he met with acceptance and kindness.

Beloved husband of Linda Sharpe (nee Rouse) of 54 years. Loving father of Tracie (Michael), Cairns, Jennifer Sharpe, Melissa (Timothy) Perry and Sandra (John) Finnegan. Devoted Grandfather of Tori (Brandon) Garske, Brandon (Bianca Ritger) Pilmaier, Maille (Alex) Fischer, Maisie (Michael) Williams, Sophia Mathey, Benjamin Cairns, Brogan Finnegan, Ava Mathey, Madisen Perry, Jace Perry, and Mila Gonzalez, and Great-Grandfather of Kian, Amara, Eloise and Evelynn, who all refer to him affectionately as "Bapa." Steve's notion of family expanded to include Ralph (Aileen) Velez and family, and others near and dear to his heart who considered him a father/grandfather figure. He is also survived by his sister, Marcie (Jerry) Vanneste, and his brothers, Randy (Jeanine) Sharpe and Jon (Glorianne) Sharpe.

Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Sharpe (nee Gross) and his special grandparents Norman and Clara Gross, and Ben and Amanda Sharpe.

Steven will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in a private service for his family at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha. Anyone who wishes to observe the ceremony remotely may find a link to the service on Krause Funeral Home's website. Later that day, there will be a gathering for family and friends at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life and time for reflections beginning at 4:00 PM.
