Virginia Waites Harris, 93,Christian City, died Jan. 7, 2005. She was born Nov. 6, 1911 in Fulton County. She was an excellent cook and will be remembered for her good sense of humor and generosity.

Services were at Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with Minister Billy Rose officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Robert W. and "Andy" Harris, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Rebecca Harris Jones, Sharpsburg; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge
