Dora Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Morehead, was born April 6, 1879 at
Caplonia, Kansas and passed away at the
home of her son Paul Murphy Friday, June
17, 1960 at 7:40 a.m. at the age of 81 years
2 months and 11 days. She came to Frank-
fort, Kansas with her parents in 1886 where
she has since made her home.
She was married to James Albert Murphy on
September 19, 1911 at Frankfort, Kansas.
He preceded her in death on March 17, 1948.
She has made her home with her son, Paul for
the last two years.
She is survived by two sons, George Murphy,
Wadeworth, Kansas and Paul Murphy, of
Frankfort, Kansas; three sisters, Jennie
Harrison, Bryte, California, Clara Ricks,
Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lucy Scott,
Dewey, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Padden Funeral
Chapel on Monday, June 20,1960 at 2:00 p.m.
with Reverened Lawrence Thomas officiating.
Pallbearers were Ralph Huffmier, Harold
Rundle, Bill Burton, Bill Purell, Ralph
Burton and Emmett Burton.
Interment was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
