She was born on October 3rd, 1940 in Abbeville, SC, the daughter of the late Horace Gladstone and Essie Vickery Baber. A lifelong resident of Laurens, SC, Pat was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived life to the fullest, sharing her love for Jesus in word and deed in all she did. Pat used her gifts to glorify God. Many knew her as an art teacher, an artist, a Sunday School teacher, a pastor's wife, and a member of Eastside Baptist Church, but mostly, she simply loved others. She was a lady in every since of the word.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. J.D. Putman; one sister, Betty Thomas and husband, Paul of Laurens, SC.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 56 years, J.D. Putman, Jr.; her children, Jane Putman Sterling and husband, Dearld, David Putman and wife, Tami, Cathy Pasco and husband Paul Weyers, and Carole Bragg and husband, Phil; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Baber Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Randall Baber.
