Benny Pack, 62, of Red Jacket, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Born October 9, 1947, in Newtown, WV, he was the son of Melda Cisco Pack of Phelps, KY and the late Tommy Pack.

Benny was a disabled coal miner, a member of the Ben Creek Church of Christ, and he was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army as a tank operator from 1967-1969 while stationed in Seoul, Korea during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and an assistant scout leader of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 26 Red Jacket, WV.

Survivors include his loving wife, Vivian Cisco Pack of Red Jacket, WV; his son, Michael Benjamin Pack of the home; one brother, Tommy Dean Pack of Matewan, WV; four sisters Faye May of Narrows Branch, KY, Lou Vern Kennedy of Beech Creek, WV, Willia Dean McGinnis of Phoenix, AZ, and Ruth Smith of Turkey Creek, KY; his mother-in-Law, Ila Cisco of Red Jacket; nieces, Crystal McClure and Melissa May of Lexington,KY, Karen Smith of Turkey Creek, KY, Suzanne Daniels and Melanie Sue Maynard of Beech Creek, WV, Julie Cisco of Raleigh, NC, Sara Cisco of Newtown, WV, and Tara Zornes of Louisa, KY; nephews Troy McGinnis of Phoenix, Arizona, Scottie Pack of Matewan, WV, Corey and Eli Cisco of Red Jacket, WV, and Joey Cisco of Beech Creek, WV; a special nephew Brian "Punkin" Cisco of Red Jacket, WV; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 19, at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Evang. Gene Clemons officiating.

Burial with follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY, with Joshua Mahon, Jeremy Mahon, Jason Varney, Jeremy Blankenship, Joey Cisco, and Corey Cisco serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with special services to be held at 7:30 p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, KY.
