Edward came to Canada in 1907. His one brother Henry (birth name Rudolph) also came to Canada. Edward made a homestead claim on the eastern part of Saskatchewan near Wolseley. He married Lydia Marie Jedel in Wolseley on April 29, 1914. Edward worked on the railroad and other farms while trying to build up his own homestead but the land was unworkable and he eventually bought a farm in Edgeley, Sk. In 1921 he moved to a farm near Davidson, Sk and remained farming there until his retirement in 1966 when he and Lydia moved into the town of Davidson.
Edward and Lydia had 9 children listed below. Edward was active on the Davidson School Board and even drove the school bus. He was a founding member of the Associated Gospel Church in Davidson.
Edward was predeceased by one daughter, Irene Rans in 1961, and one grandson, Richard Gregor, in 1979.
Edward and Lydia celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary a month before his death.
Interment in family plot, Davidson, SK.

It should be noted that at the time Edward Gregor was born, his place of birth was known as Lutsk, White Russia. The land has been claimed by several countries including Germany, Ukraine, Prussia, Poland, and Russia and has a Slav influence. At the time of this writing (2014/2020 update) the city of Lutsk is in The Ukraine.
