Son of the late Ralph A. Kinsella, M.D. and Mabel D. Kinsella. Beloved husband for 62 years of Katherine Loughlin Kinsella. He is survived by his children Sr. M. Edward, M.C., Edward Kinsella, Jr. (Beth), Eugene Kinsella (Shannon), Christopher Kinsella (Mary Beth), Maryon Kinsella, Laurence Kinsella, M.D. (Pam), Colin Kinsella (Kerri), Alice Kinsella, Lucy Brust (Frederick), and Katy Kinsella; dear grandfather of nineteen and great grandfather of two; dear brother of Mary Janet Kinsella and the late Ralph A. Kinsella, Jr., M.D. and Peter W. Kinsella, M.D.; brother-in-law of Maria Stack Kinsella of St. Louis, and Marnie Vallely, Lassie Brautigam, Timothy Loughlin, and the late Eugene Loughlin, Jr., all of Connecticut. Dr. Kinsella was a 1944 graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine. He did his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and Gastrointestinal Fellowship at Yale Newington VA Hospital. He served as a Captain in the Army Medical Corps in N. Africa. He was a clinical professor of medicine at St. Louis University and served 25 years at St. Louis City Hospital. In 2004 he received the Luke Rigby Award for dedicated service to the St. Louis Priory.
