She was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Lawrence and Martha Woody Cox. She was a lady who loved to work and spent many years at Roselon Southern before retiring. She was also a kind and loving wife and mother, always tending to her families needs. One thing in particular that she took special pride in was making sure her husband, Kermit's, shoes were clean. That was of great importance to her and, after his death, she bestowed that honor to Fred, her son-in-law, making sure she kept his shoes clean. She was a long-time member of Lawrence Chapel Church of God of Prophecy where her concern for cleanliness and appearances pertained to her church as well. She always enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit McDonald, and sister, Marie Hood.
