Woodrow Darnell "Woody" Hathaway, 77, died at 4:57 PM Wednesday [July 18, 1990] in the Lafayette Home Hospital emergency room, following a year of failing health. Born March 2, 1913, at Brick Chapel, IN, he came to Lafayette in 1933. He married Anita R. Shank on October 31, 1942, in Lafayette, and she survives.

Mr. Hathaway was employed ten years in the maintenance department at Purdue University, retiring in 1979. From 1942 until 1969, he was a route salesman for the Borden Milk Co. He attended Congress Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving with his wife is a sister, Arvilee Broden of Greencastle; also several nieces and nephews.
