Altha V. Hathaway was born on Oct 2, 1893, in Indiana, to parent William Lee Hathaway (1867-1946), and Ida May Darnal (1867-1939).
Altha's brothers and sisters: Rex Hathaway, Eugenia Grove Hathaway-Scobee, Arvelle Hathaway and Woodrow D. Hathaway.
On Dec 24, 1913, Altha married Lesley Earl Scobee in Putnam County. They had three children all born in Indiana: Robert Lee Scobee (1916-1996), Marguerite V. Scobee-Neff (1918-2007), and Katherine LaVaughn Scobee-Beam (1920-2007).
Both Altha and her husband are buried in Brick Chapel Cemetery.
