REVEREND STANLEY LESTER 49 years of age of Wolford, VA passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Paynesville, WV, June 17, 1955 he was the son of Belva Mullins Lester of Grundy, VA and the late Vernor Lester. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Premium Energy Company, avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting. Reverend Stanley Lester was of the Pentecostal Faith, had been in the ministry for over 29 years, loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his father: Vernor Lester he was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Clifford Payne.
He is survived by his mother: Belva Mullins Lester of Grundy, VA; his wife of 29 years: Priscilla Payne Lester of Wolford, VA; mother-in-law: Mary Payne of Wytheville, VA; two daughters: April Lester Justus and husband Thomas, Sherah Lester Tester and husband Shawn all of Hurley, VA; three sisters: Patricia Tincher of Reidsville, NC, Wanda Nunley of Elkton, MD, Sharon Taylor of Reidsville, NC; one brother: Steve Lester of Paynesville, WV; three grandchildren: Kade Hackney, Devin Tester and McKennah Tester.
Funeral services for Reverend Stanley Lester will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Work Evangelist Outreach Church at Wolford, VA with Reverends : Darrell Davis, Herbert Ratliff, Jamie Coleman and Pastor Danny Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Ambrose-Mullins Cemetery, Stateline Ridge #1, Paynesville, WV.
Active Pallbearers will be Employees of Premium Energy Company. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clifford Payne, Bobby Mullins, Tom Justus, Shawn Tester, Devin Tester, Kade Hackney, Mark Hackney and Randy Taylor.
The family will receive friends at the church after 6:00 p.m. Monday evening. Services will be held Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
