Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Roosevelt Deloach was born on November 11, 1940, to the late Alex Sr. and Maggie Lee Bradford-Deloach in Starkville, Mississippi. Dr. Deloach accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Piller Baptist Church and was baptized in 1952 by the late Rev. McClendon. Dr. Roosevelt married Ollie M. Nelson, July 27, 1961 in Starkville, MS. They moved to Flint in 1963 where he worked three jobs, Town and Country Bowling Alley, an orderly at Hurley Hospital and a carwash. He was a member of UAW local 659. Pastor Deloach retired from Chevrolet after 26 years of service to Pastor full time. Dr. Deloach accepted his call to the Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Albert Hare, at the Cross Missionary Church. In 1982 under the guidance of his Pastor, he organized Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church, where he retired as Pastor after 30 years. He and his wife served as Coordinators of the Great Lakes District Baptist Congress of Christian Education Pastors and Wives Seminar and Retreat/Advance, Vice Moderator of Finance in the Great Lakes District Association, Treasurer of Genesee County Christian Institute, He was an active member on the State and National level of the Congress of Christian Education. He was committed to learning and spreading Gods word to all. His love for children and families was renowned. He was chairman of the Urban Community Youth Outreach, a leader for Mr. Rogers Say No to Drugs and Crime, a member of Eureka Lodge No 16, and Omen Temple #72. He was an instructor on How the Bible Came to be, and the Married Couple Workshop with the Great Lakes Baptist District Association. He leaves to cherish his wife of
51 years, Dr. Ollie M. Nelson-Deloach; 6 children, Pamela Rose (Donald) Deloach-Martin of Jackson, MS., Roderick Michael Deloach of Starkville, MS. Dwight Collier if Baton Rouge, LA., Timesee E. Deloach-Dixon of Flint, Michigan, Rev. Sidney R. Deloach of Austin Texas, and Alicia A. Deloach of Taylor Michigan. Special niece, Theresa Sherman. Grand and great- grand children, Terrill A, Te'Niece E, Tasha M, Brittney, Brook, Tokevia, Taylor, Treishawn,, Shawntae Renee, Simone

(Clarice) Deloach, Alex (Mary) Deloach, John D(Narzee) Deloach, Dr. Terry (Dr. Caroline) Davis, and 1 sister, Margrice Davis all of Flint, MI.
