Bona Marie Betz, 81, of Findlay, Ohio and formerly of Elyria, Ohio died at 10:02 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Birchaven Village.
Bona was born on April 20, 1931 in Elyria, Ohio to Clem and Sadie (Dimmerling) Archer. She married Willard Betz and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Bona is survived by a son Brad Betz, a daughter, Tara (Darren) Oliver of Findlay; one granddaughter, Krystal Betz of Findlay; a sister, Dolores Gatliff of Findlay; and a brother-in-law, Dick Mittendorff of Berlin Heights, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Vern Archer and Paul Archer; and a sister, Ellen Mittendorff.
Bona attended St. Agnes Grade School and graduated from Elyria High School in 1950. She had been employed at Elyria Memorial Hospital in central supply from where she retired.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church-Downtown with Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio at a later date.
