Lewis Run, Dies
In Local Hospital
A prayer service for Mrs. Willa
Kathleen Gordon, 52. of Lewis Run,
who died in Bradford Hospital at
4:15 a. m. yesterday, about 25 minutes
after admission, will be held;
at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
Koch - Chatley Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in the Oak Hill
Cemetery.
Mrs. Gordon was stricken at her
home with a heart attack and taken
to the hospital.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1902,
at Kersey, Pa., the daughter of the
late William and Elizabeth Spangler
Wesmiller. She came to Bradford
in 1927 and for a number of
years was employed by the Zippo
Manufacturing Co.
Surviving are her husband, John
William Gordon; one daughter,
Teresa Edna Shaffer, Lewis Run ;
one son, John Richardson Gordon,
Pittsburgh ; three brothers, William
L. Wesmiller, Port Allegany, Richard
and Clarence Wesmiller, Bradford;
an aunt, Mrs. Mary Dill, Erie,
and several nieces and nephews. A
son, Edwin Robert Gordon, was killed
in action on April 19, 1945, while
serving with the U. S. armed forcers
in World War II in Italy.
Friends will be received at Koch-
Chatley during the usual hours.
