Nolan was born to Bob and Joyce(Rust) Esanbock in Baldwin, WI. Graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1970 abd Brown College in 1972.
Nolan joined the Peace Corp in 1972 and moved to Brazil where he met and married Diana "Katia" Viana on July 27, 1974 at Arenapolis, Brazil. He lived in Brazil for 17 years before returning to Spring Valley. While in Brazil he became Director of the Peace Corp and also worked for the Brazilian Government.
Nolan worked for Firestone, Michelin and OEM Fabricators in Woodville, WI. The past 9 years he worked locally as a Computer Technician.
He loved fishing, traveling and was an avid reader.
Preceding him in death were his father, infant daughter Ellen Joyce Esanbock and son David Viana Esanbock.
