We had Callie since she was a kitten, and watched her blossom into a beautiful short-haired calico. Her personality is nothing short of sweet and loyal. Callie has always gotten along with the other cats and dogs of our family, and had enjoyable quirks about her. Callie loved her family, including 3 year old Grant. She enjoyed his company as he did hers; Giving her the nick-name "Miss Cal". Although healthy for many years, Callie was plagued with reoccurring urinary infections. In 2010, we almost lost her to liver disease. Through tender loving care through syringe feeds, medicines and fluids, she made a wonderful recovery. Two full years went by without a hitch only for her health to fall back on the same pattern of liver problems. With liver enzymes skyrocketing, Callie was diagnosed with liver failure in the summer of 2012. She made one final recovery to her spunky self before her body began to fail suddenly. Although it shattered our hearts to make the decision to send her to heaven, it was time to set our angel free from all the pain she had been through. It is with heavy hearts that she is gone, but Callie has forever left a paw print on our hearts. Gone and never forgotten, she has taken a piece of our hearts with her.
