Rushford bank president is dead at 76 m

RUSHFORD, Minn. (Special ) — Elvin Humble, 76, president and chairman of the board of directors of First National Bank, Rushford, died at his home here Monday.
He had been affiliated with the bank .55 years, joining j the staff as * bookkeeper in 1917. He served on numerous banking and agffcultural committees.
The son of Humble
Lars and Sophia Gardner Humble, he was born in Highland Prairie, Fillmore County, May 28, 1896. He graduated from Rushford. High School and La Crosse, Wis., Business College. On March 20, 1918, he married Benora Onsgard, who died Feb. 14, 1936. He married Angeline Broffel, Whitewater, Wis., April 26, 1941.
Active m community affairs, Humble served on many civic committees. He was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church, a member of the church board and its treasurer several years; a member of the board of Good Shepherd Lutheran Nursing Home here, and -served on the city council several years. ¦ _* Survivors are: his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Doris) Olson, Decorah, Towa, and two grandchildren. Six brothers and five sisters have died. Funeral services will be at 2 pan. Wednesday at Rushford Lutheran Church, the Rev Owen Gaasedalen officiating, ing.
