Charles Thorn was born about 1857 in New York. He was the son of Lawrence Thorn and Martha Clark. I have not found the family on the 1860 census at this time. Charles is listed at age 14 with his parents on the 1870 census of Erie, Erie Co., PA. Charles was about age 16 when he died. His younger sister Susan died 17 days later, possibly from the same illness. Charles Thorn died January 01, 1873 in Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania. He is buried in Erie Cemetery, Erie, Pennsylvania, in Section N, Lot 5 along with several of his siblings.
