82, husband of Jane Yancey Ayres, passed away Monday, November 12th. He was born December 8, 1929, the son of Pauline Bishop Ayres. A member of the First Baptist Church, Owenton, he was a retired 35 year employee of the Kentucky Department of Highways. Besides his wife of 59 years, three children survive: Melinda Green of Owenton, Robert (Sandy) Ayres of Crestwood and David (Gina) Ayres of Owenton. Also surviving are three grandsons: Adam Green of Owenton, Jeb, Robert, and Caleb Lowell Ayres of Crestwood and one sister, Marie Dunavent of Owenton. Buddy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Jane Green. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, November 14th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 15th beginning at 11am at the funeral home, Rev. Jesse Bourne and Rev. Brad Banks. Burial will follow in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church Family Life Center or the charity of one's choosing.
