William Pearson, aged 82 years, died on Tuesday evening of last week at the home of his son, William Pearson, Jr., of Ernest. The deceased, who was born in England, came to this country 51 years ago and for some time was employed as a miner in Tioga County, locating at Ernest when the coal plant was established. In addition to the son named above the following children survive him: Mrs. James Jones of Morris Run; Mrs. Clark Henry of Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. William Lewis and John Pearson of Windber; and Frank Pearson of Chicago. The remains were taken to Anita for interment (The Indiana Progress, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, January 20, 1915).
