John Pearson, aged sixty-eight years, died at his home in this place on April 28th, and the funeral was held the following Tuesday, interment at Pineville. He was a native of England but had resided in this country many years, first in Pennsylvania, then in Centerville, this county, and last fall, he with his wife moved here, where they bought a small farm. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, William Pearson of Centerville and several grandchildren (Mexico Independent, Mexico, New York, Thursday, May 3, 1928).
John Pearson, 68, died Saturday at his home at Daysville, six miles west of this village, following a long illness. He was born September 15, 1859 in England and came to the United States when a young man. He located in Pennsylvania and later came to Centerville, Oswego county, and last September located on a farm at Daysville. Besides his widow he is survived by a son, William L. Pearson of Centerville; one brother, William Pearson of Pennsylvania, and three sisters, Mrs. William Lewis, Mrs. James Jones and Mrs. Ray Jones, all of Pennsylvania. Funeral was held from the family home yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ray Wooton, rector of St James Episcopal church of Pulaski. Burial in Pineville Cemetery (The Pulaski Democrat, Pulaski, New York, May 2, 1928). Note - In the obituary the year of 1859 is incorrect and Mrs. Ray Jones should be Mrs. David Jones.
