Mrs. Eliza Bean, known better as "Grandma Bean", died at a little after two yesterday afternoon at her son's home, Mr. B. S. Bean, with whom she had made her home for years. The funeral services were held this afternoon and the interment took place in the Shiloh cemetery, the family burying place.

Mrs. Bean was in her eighty-second year. About two years ago she was stricken with paralysis, from which stroke she only partially recovered. For some months she gradually declined in strength, and her once strong and robust constitution by degrees yielded. Her husband died some forty years ago. Ten years later she was bereft of a son.

She leaves six sons and one daughter, Mrs. Morrison of New Cambria. Of the sons, James, the oldest, resides in Illinois, George W. is a pastor of the Presbyterian church at Clay Center, Benjamin S. and John S. are well known farmers in our county, and David and Wilson reside in Wichita county.

The deceased was an honored member of the Presbyterian church of this city and was an exemplary, consistent, christian woman. The large circle of relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in this affliction. They have done all that love could do for the comfort of their mother and grandmother throughout her long illness.
