Mark L. Covalt, 70, of 1209 Mason Dixon Road, Greencastle, PA died at Thursday, November 22, 2012 in his home. His death was unexpected.

Born March 3, 1942 in Fulton County, PA he was the son of the late Merrill P. and N. Christine (Gordon) Covalt.

Mr. Covalt attended Thurmont, MD schools.

He and his wife, Nancy L. (Burkholder) Covalt were married on November 6, 1960 in Smithsburg, MD. They have lived at their current residence for the last 47 years.

Mr. Covalt was employed by Earl Adams Garage, Ryder Truck, Hoffman Transport and later became the owner and operator of Covalt's Repair. Mr. Covalt operated the truck repair service for 28 years.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Waynesboro, PA and in his early years performed with the family gospel quartet, performing at churches in the local region.

Mr. Covalt enjoyed racing motorcycles, hunting and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Ricky L. Covalt, Waynesboro, Brian M. Covalt, Greencastle; five grandchildren: Ryan, Denny, Luke, Micah, Levi; four great grandchildren: Landon, Hunter, Ella Renee, Easton; three sisters: Amy Jo Norton, Pottersdale, PA, Dolly Weingart, Harwinton, CT, Sue Ellen Green, Spring Mills, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, his brother, Merrill L. Covalt, and two granddaughters, Tiffany Lee Covalt and Ericka Renee Covalt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 26, 2012 in Grace Baptist Church, 623 North Grant Street Extended, Waynesboro with Pastor John F. Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Broadfording Cemetery, near Hagerstown, MD.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle.
