He arrived in 1878 with his wife (married 14th of May, 1874), his 4 year old daugther, Amalia, and his 1 year old daughter, Angelina, who died the following year. They were part of a group of 200 families who moved to South America in search of a better life. Pietro and his wife worked the land and had more children in Argentina. He died in Jesús María and was buried in a no longer existing cemetery.
