Ireta Alice Fudge, 83, formerly of this area, died Oct. 25, 1995, in a nursing home in Poulsbo, WA. She was born Nov. 22, 1911 in Nowata, OK.
She came to the Cathlamet-Skamokawa area in the 1950s, and lived there until coming to Longview in 1964. She was a business college graduate. After her husband's death, she worked as live-in housekeeper at St. Rose Catholic Church, then at St. Mary's in Kelso. In 1984 she moved to Poulsbo.
She married Lester Fudge who died in 1967.
Surviving are a son, David Fudge of Bakersfield, CA; two daughters, Emma Van Acker of Poulsbo, and Karen Rhodes of Vancouver; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Della Winans, and a son, Gary Fudge.
Services will be at 11 am Saturday at Seabold United Methodist Church on Bainbridge Island, WA. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet.
