Iowa County Democrat, Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Friday, 2 May 1890 (p.3/c.3): The remains of Daniel Crow were brought to Mineral Point from the Black Hills, S. Dak., and interred in St. Paul's Catholic cemetery, on Sunday afternoon, April 27th. The deceased was a son of Mrs. Wm. Crow, of the town of Kendall, LaFayette county. He had been living in the Black Hills country for the last few years and during the past winter had an attack of lagrippe, which resulted in pneumonia, and death. He died on Tuesday, April 30th; aged about 23 years. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends.
Daniel most likey had been in the Black Hills mining for Gold, which is what the Black Hills were known for.
