Miss Charlotte Wasmer, 96, a resident of Grand Island for the past 89 years, died last night in a Hastings hospital. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Kindig Rupley, Hampton, in the Geddes funeral home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in the Grand Island cemetery.
Miss Wasmer was born Aug. 14, 1854, in Germany to Mr. and Mrs. William Wasmer. She was the last member of the family.
Survivors include several nieces and one nephew, Theodore W. Baumer, 311 South Clark, who has cared for Miss Wasmer for the past six years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers. Miss Wasmer was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Grand Island.
