Mary Sheltman Jenkins Beard, 68, of Buena Vista died Monday, June 29, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1924, in Buena Vista, daughter of the late Charles Sheltman and Clelia Sheltman. She was married to the late Eddie Beard.
She is survived by two sons, Jake Jenkins of Buena Vista and Bobby Jenkins of Jacksonville, Fl. and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Dean Staton.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad. Lomax Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
