Musician. He is most notable for being the main keyboardist with Motown Records' in-house band the Funk Brothers in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He was the keyboardist on Motown hits such as "Bernadette", "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and "Runaway Child Running Wild". He also recorded with Fred Jackson and Ike Quebec in the early 1960's as a jazz organist on the Blue Note Label.
