Graveside services for Mr. John Winters Stanley, 69 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA. Bro. Don Delukie will be officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Stanley was born February 3, 1940 in Transylvania, LA and passed away July 22, 2009 in Bastrop, LA. He was a retired police captain at West Monroe Police Department. His favorite pastime was umpiring baseball and softball games.

He was preceded in death by parents, James and Anita Stanley, and a brother, James Garfield Stanley, Jr.

He is survived by wife of 29 years, Lou Stanley; step-son, Mark McCurley and wife Candace; grandchildren, John M. McCurley, Jr., Julie M. McCurley and Joseph D McCurley and 2 great-grandchildren; 5 sister-in-laws; 2 brother-in-laws; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
