WASHINGTON — Eleanore Aikins Lipscomb, 76, a popular ballet dancer in the United States and Europe in the 1920s and 1930s who performed under the name of Ledova, died Saturday. Born in Kansas City, Mo., she joined the ballet corps of the Chicago Opera at 17 and later performed in Europe. In the early 1930s, she became prima ballerina of the San Carlo Opera, a professional touring company. She retired shortly before World War II after appearing with her own company.
