Son of Jesse N. and Laura B. Harlan Adkisson.

He married Marvell Cox on Dec. 12, 1947. She survives.

Also survived by three sons, David (Betty) Adkisson of Georgetown, John Adkisson of Georgetown and Donnie (Julie) Adkisson of Georgetown; two daughters, Sherry (David) Skagg of McAlister, Ok., and Judy Hill of Hillsdale, In.; one brother, Aubry (Hazel) Adkisson of Conway, Ak.; one sister, Redith (Wally) Ewing of Oakwood; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Jerry Hill.
