He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hazel Heffington Adkisson; 3 sons, Mike (Sharon), Jim (Pat), all of Conway; Joe (Robyn) of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Hambuchen, Mindi Adkisson, Holly (Bryce) Pruitt, Johannah (Chism) Riddle, Michael and Garrett Adkisson; 4 great-grandchildren, Trustin and Gracie Adkisson, Aubrey Pruitt and Josie Riddle; a sister, Redith (Walley) Ewing.
He was an Army veteran and was retired from his business, Excavating Contractor Company. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening and driving his dump truck. Mr. Adkisson was a deacon and member of Holland Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10:00 am, Monday, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, with Bro. Ron Theis officiating.
Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
