Raymond F. Obliske, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Toledo Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo on February 14, 1920, to Chester and Fannie Obliski.
Raymond had retired from the St. Clair Manufacture/Purex/Dial Company working there for 45 years and was also a member of the Teamsters. He was proud to say that was the one and only place he had ever worked. Raymond belonged to the Moose Lodge and the Rossford Eagles.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles "Mike" Obliske and Richard Obliski and sister, Irene Pawelczak.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years, Marcianna "Mitzie"; and by his loving children, Terry (Kris) Obliske and daughter, Bonnie (David) Shelhart; grandson, Alexander Shelhart; brother, Leonard (Joanne) Jablonski; sisters, Josephine Bruckshaw and Delphine (Jerry) Ross. and by many special nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Fr. William Kubacki officiating. Interment to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
