World War I veteran of the 213th Aero Squadron.
Survivor of the German U-boat attack by UB-77 that sank the troopship "Tuscania" in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland on the evening of 5 February 1918.

Arthur made several voyages to and from the United States both before and after World War I, employed as a steward on merchant vessels.

The son of William & Elizabeth Dew.
