Two daughters of John and Mary Spring are found at Eastern Cemetery. John was a shoemaker originally from Scotland; Mary was a Massachusetts native. Edith died in her infancy in 1858 before the 1860 census was recorded, though her sister Emily (Emma) was listed with the family as age 4 that year — she lived to age 21. No gravestones are found for these sisters, but a note in the published burial records says that Edith was buried in Daniel Crockett's lot. While helpful in 1858, it is not so today since we have lost any records of the location of Daniel Crockett's lot. He has no gravestone at Eastern Cemetery either.
