Donald H. Ewaldt, 81, of Menominee, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Bay Area Medical Center. He was born on November 22, 1929 in Menominee to the late Frank and Emma (Hoida) Ewaldt.
Donald married Norma Sell on February 7, 1952, in Wausau, Wis. She passed away in April of 2000. He served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked at Scott Paper for 40 years. He enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking, gardening, and golfing. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Donald is survived by two sons: Robert (fiancé, Arleen) and Perry, both of Menominee; a daughter, Penny (Donald) Strupp of Rhinelander, Wis.; four grandchildren: Matthew, Robyn, Nicholas and Ryan; and a great-grandchild, Aliyah. In addition to his parents and wife, Norma, he was preceded in death by six brothers.
Friends may call at the Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, July 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The visitation will continue on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
