Miss Mattie Polmanteer, of Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Pelham, of Bath, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Fisher, of Ingleside, and Miles Polmanteer; of Portville, were among the out-of-town guests who attended the funeral of Arnold Polmanteer on Tuesday.

Arnold Polmanteer, a well known and respected resident passed away at the home of his son George Polmanteer Sunday, March 11, following an illness of about a year. He was in bed for only about a week. Mr. Polmanteer was in his seventy-eighth year and had spent nearly all of his life in and around this vicinity. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, two daughters, Miss Mattie Polmanteer, of Rochester and Mrs. Clinton Pelham, of Bath, three sons. Miles of Portville, David of Michigan and George of this village, also several grandchildren. His funeral was held at the Wesleyan Methodist church Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Braman officiating. The burial was in Wallace cemetery.
