She was born on April 28, 1942 in Burkeville, Texas and had lived in Newton County most of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Kalinda "Cricket" Day and Brona "Rosie" Kelly, her son, Brandon Nichols all of Newton, mother, Maxine Peters of Burkeville, Texas, son-in-law, Patrick Amburg, five sisters and two brothers along with twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Burt Nichols Sr., her daughters, Mary Lewis (FAG mem 18656866) and Margaret Nichols (FAG mem 55238547) and her sons, Jesse Nichols (FAG mem 52885578) and Greg Nichols (FAG mem 52885948).
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11am at Smith Funeral Home in Newton.
Burial to follow at Trout Creek Cemetery in Newton County.
