Final Services for Lester C. Aubushon
Lester Carold Aubushon was born to Lewis LaVon Aubushon and Daisie Maude Rosencrans on August 10, 1903 at Womer, Kansas in a sod house. He passed away at his home in Red Cloud, Nebraska, on January 28, 1984, at the age of 80 y 5 m and 18 days.
He was raised on a farm and attended school at District no. 8 School, Penny Creek, Kansas.
Lester was united in marriage to Emma Leona Hastings on December 24, 1927. To the union thre children were born, Daisie Mae, Carold Lee, and Milton Louis.
He farmed most of his life nine miles south of Red Cloud until 1955 when ill health caused them to move to Phillipsburg, Kansas, where they lived until 1973 when they moved to Red Cloud.
On December 24, 1983, Lester and Leona celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
For many years he suffered from ill health and during recent weeks was deeply depressed.
He was proceded in death by his parents, a sister, Bertha Mae and a brother, LeRoy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leona; * his daughter; Daisie Mae Hartman and husband Keith; of Guide Rock, Nebraska; a son Carold Lee and his wife, Carolyn of Kearney, Nebraska, a son Milton and his wife June of Phillipsburg Kansas, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A host of relatives and friends.

God sees the footsteps all falter, When the pathway has grown too steep.
Then He touches the weary eyelids and gives His dear one sleep.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 31, 1984, at Simonson-Williams Funeral Home Chapel, in Red Cloud Nebraska, with Rev. Richard Kelderhouse officiating. Interment was in the Red Cloud Cemetery. Mrs. Wanda Langer sang "Going Down the Valley" and "It Is No Secret" accompained by Mrs. Claice Norman, organist.
The pallbearers were John Flohrs, Elmer Stokes, Raymond Burgess, Floyd Corbett, Duaine Elderd and Glen Zalman.

* Lester was survived by brother Cliffford Aubushon and wife Nora of Phillipsburg Kansas.
