Herbert N. Turley Sr. 92 of Nashville, Arkansas, died, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his home. He was born February 10, 1920 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas the son of the late Edger Boyd and Ada Zenobie Smith Turley.

Mr. Turley was retired from the United States Army where he was an Army Sergeant First Class, and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was employed with Weyerhauser for seventeen years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lena Mae Turley, a granddaughter Leslie Teglia, and an infant son.

Survivors include four sons; Herbert Turley Jr. and wife Donna of Nashville, AR; James Michael Turley and wife Jan of Jonesboro, AR ; William Edgar Turley and wife Sherry of Nashville, AR; John Timothy Turley and wife Debra of Nashville, AR; three daughters Kathleen Newell and husband Jim of Springdale, AR; Karen Sue Garcia and husband Rick of Fort Worth, TX; and Patricia Ann Reese and husband David "Slick" of Nashville, AR; four brothers Elton Turley and wife Florence, Charles Turley and wife Carol, Loy Turley and wife Billie, and Wylie and wife Roxie; one sister Jennie Lou McCullough and husband Troy, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, with Linda Kline and Mickey Wilburn officiating, with burial to follow in Bluff Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 10 at Latimer Funeral Home.
