JULY 7, 1932 ~ MAY 21, 2019 (AGE 86)

Wylie Turley age 86, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

He was born on July 7, 1932 in Bluff Springs, Arkansas the son of Edgar Boyd and Ada.

He married Roxie Smith on November 4, 1961.

He served in the US Army stationed in Alaska for period of time.

Wylie worked in construction and later retired from Weyerhaeuser. He was a resident of the Broken Bow, Hochatown area for more than 45 years

He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, feeding wildlife, rock laying and “trimming “trees. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. Wylie was Baptized at an early age in a Baptist Church but was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Wylie was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Boyd and Ada; brothers, Herbert, Elton, and Charles Turley.

Wylie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, of 57 years, Roxie; children, Cassandra Lee of Poteau, Oklahoma, Beverly Kim Irvin and husband Richard of Farmington, Arkansas;

Brother, Loy Turley and wife Billie of Nashville, Arkansas; sister, Jennie Lou and husband Troy McCullough of Langley, Arkansas;

Grandchildren, Chad Minor, Brittany Riddick, Leslee Meade, Brent Irvin, and Sherra Irvin; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Easton, Hendrix, Wylie and Beaux and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A gathering for family and friends will be on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hochatown Cemetery with Rev. Linda Kline officiating.
