City Employee Fay Adams Dies Thursday
Fay Adams, an employee of the Belleville City Street Department for the last 18 years, died Thursday, June 27, at his home in Belleville. He had been ill since April 10th.
He was the son of Bishop and Grace Adams and was born November 4, 1909 in Tryon, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. He was married to Cleo Ball on January 1, 1934, a union to which one daughter, Fern, was born.
The Adams lived in Tryon, Oklahoma before moving to Belleville in 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his widow, and his daughter, Mrs. Charles Cline of Dallas, Texas, two grandsons and two granddaughters, one brother, Guy of Perkins, Oklahoma and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ernest Hiebert at Tibbetts Bros. Chapel, Sunday, June 30, 1968 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Brethren Cemetery.
